The Marie Keating Foundation’s fundraising event Concert4Cancer returns for a second year on the 27th of August!
The night will include an amazing line-up of music acts, as well as some special guest appearances from the worlds of sport and film. It will also showcase powerful stories about how the Foundation supports people when they need it the most.
Marie Keating's family set up the Foundation following her death to breast cancer when Marie was just 51. Since then, the Marie Keating Foundation has expanded its services to adults across all cancers, ensuring support at every step of a cancer journey and fulfilling its mission of ‘making cancer less frightening by enlightening’.
Every three minutes, a person in Ireland hears those terrifying words “you have cancer”*. Navigating the journey that follows a diagnosis can be difficult. At the Marie Keating Foundation, they believe that no-one should have to face that journey alone, which is why their caring and compassionate nurses are there at every step, to take the fear out of cancer.
Concert4Cancer ties in with this belief, bringing people together to spread awareness and raise much-needed funds. This year, PayPal is proud to be lending its support by facilitating donations to the Marie Keating Foundation through the PayPal Giving Fund. This fund regrants 100% of the donations it facilitates, creating an easy and accessible way for charities to receive funds and people to contribute to the causes they care about.
If you would like to donate to the Marie Keating Foundation, you can do so via the PayPal Giving Fund on the PayPal app. And don’t forget to tune into Virgin Media One at 9pm on Friday (27th August)!
